This past week I was assigned to open. This means that I am up and ready to receive kids at 7 a.m. I had rough day the day before so this particular morning I was praying and trying to change my attitude to one of joy. Since it is spring break I did not have any early risers and therefore had lots of time with the Lord. It was nice. But my attitude was still a work in progress. In walks Bailey, one of my fourth grade boys. At times Bailey can be a real handful. Yet this morning he walked in in one of the best moods I have ever seen him in. He had cereal and so I got up to move a table for him to eat on the tile. He jumped up and said, "let me help you so we don't wake up the missionaries upstairs." This is HUGE coming from Bailey. Seeing him so happy made my heart sing. His attitude encouraged me. God is working here. He is working on the hearts of these children and He is working on my heart. I saw the proof of it that morning.
