To Infinity and Beyond....

Well, one journey has ended and another is soon to begin. I guess it is to be assumed of someone who signs things "a sojourner" that I will not stay in one place for long. As I look back on my summer I miss the children dearly. I often find myself lifting up the faithful believers I met. They taught me many things. And as I prepare to embark on this next step I hope I take their lessons with me, never forgetting their zeal and passion for our great God.

My time at UGA is just about done and I am getting ready to head out to Tahoe City, California. This will be my third time to this lovely city but first during the winter. I have never experienced a cold winter and those of you who know about my summer in Alaska know how I feel about the cold... but I guess I am bound to get used to it. (At least I hope I am.) Many have asked what I will be doing. Well, as a missionary in Tahoe things can always change; nevertheless, I will tell you that at the moment I have been told I will be teaching 3rd-6th graders before and after school program. This excites me to no end because many of the children that are in that group were the children that I had 3 summers ago. I have been praying and planning for this group over the last couple of weeks something fierce. I will also have the privilege of doing ski ministry in various locations. I love to ski and combining that with my love of sharing the Father's joy... I ask you - could it get any better? I think not. There will be many other things I will be doing out there, including encouraging the staff that lives and breathes that place. I love each of them and am stoked to be returning to their turf. At the moment their will be 5 missionaries joining the group out there. We are to stay until June. I am bursting with anticipation!

I do not promise to write here everyday but I do promise to try and keep it up to date with the happenings of Tahoe. I bid you farewell for now. I leave for the snowy wonderland at the end of the month...
